MOTIVATION: the little black…yoga pant.
Sometimes the one thing standing between you and that workout class is the perfect pair of workout pants. Now I’m not saying that in order to workout successfully you need any necessary accessory. Frankly, you can go to yoga in your undies if you so please. However, there are such things as “incentives” that twist our brain into getting EXCITED about said workout class. And fashion is one of those things.
Do this mean you need to buy every ON-TREND neon color tank of the moment from lulu, sweaty betty, nike and adidas all in the same week? No.
However, investing in a stellar pair of black (or crazy awesome printed!) workout pants can make it easier to throw your workout stuff in a bag and go to your class or gym confident that you’ll rock whatever is thrown your way. Do you need 10 pairs? No. You need one.
Lucky for us, the FITfashionistas at WELL+GOOD have done your homework for you. Check it out here: The little black dress of yoga pants: Our 11 must-have pairs | Well Good NYC

Rebel against the status quo. Rebel against the urge to be stagnant. Rebel against the eat-work-sleep matrix. Rebel against what’s “impossible.” Be a rebel. Be you. #UndoOrdinary / on Instagram http://instagr.am/p/VrVzATLnHZ/
You ain’t got time for that.
If it’s pulling you down. if it’s stopping you in your tracks. If it puts added weight on your shoulders. If it makes you second-guess yourself. If it keeps you up at night. If it creates a pit in the bottom of your stomach. If it pushes you in the wrong direction. If it’s NEGATIVE…then it’s noise. And you ain’t got time for that.
When it comes to the sweat-loving-fitness-focused-goal-oriented-strength-seeker you transform into when you’re mid-workout, holding onto ANY negativity that slows you down is a waste of your energy.
Negativity around you. Dump it.
Negativity you’re holding onto but can’t seem to shake. Dump it.
Negativity inside YOUR OWN HEAD. Dump it fast.
Approach your fitness as a safe space. Hide it away from all the other mess that can inhabit our everyday lives and use it as a place to RELEASE and set yourself free. The first step to finding that place? Simple positivity. And it starts inside your own head.

MOTIVATION: a new mindset on workouts.
Love this post from Teddi @JGIWC about her experience with the MYB 22 Workout Challenge!! It really captures the challenge’s mission: shift the way you see your workouts and mentally talk to yourself about fitness. You can still sign up! Email YES to moveyourbootyblog@gmail.com.
“Now that I really have to count my workouts, I’ve been working the elliptical and yoga into my routine. I wake up every day and think to myself, “What will my workout be today?” I’m not a competitive person by nature, but when I really want something I will put on blinders and charge forward until I get it. I was signed up for MYB and am determined to complete 22 workouts in February!”

Today is a big deal.
Sure, you might not be running a marathon, competing in the latest edition of mud-filled athletic challenges or taking on the CrossFit Games. It might not necessarily be Game Day. In fact, your workout might not involve a cheering crowd, scoreboard or finish line of any kind. But the effort you’re putting forth today is important—big time.
The biggest moments in our fitness aspirations are only possible because of all the days like today. Just a typical Monday. Doing the same weights workout, yoga class, cycling class, workout of the day, 5K run, speed work at the track or core work you always do. Maybe it’s your first day back to working out in a while. Maybe it’s your regular walk. Maybe it’s the few minutes of planks and push ups you tack onto the end of your day before bed. These simple movements, routines and base workouts on which we build up to the big time events are what makes it all possible.
So believe it when I say that today is a big deal. What you’re doing is huge. Keep it up.

It’s not supposed to be easy. Working out, changing your body, remolding yourself from the inside out, retraining your brain — it’s not easy. You’re going to feel it. Embrace it.
You’re going to be sore. Your body can handle it.
You’re going to gasp for breath. Your lungs were made for it.
You’re going to sweat. It’s cleansing.
You’re going to struggle to keep going. Keep going.
Redefine what it means to be “uncomfortable.” If you’re not happy where you are in this moment or are looking for evolution, improvement and change, then embrace so-called discomfort. It’s the feeling of your body changing. The feelings may be new, may be scary, may be unknown. Embrace the power of your body and your mind to adapt. But you can only adapt and change once you’ve pushed your body outside the comforts of its current state. Find comfort in that unknown because you’re traveling towards a place of healing and growth. It’s okay to hurt sometimes. It’s okay to be sore, sweaty and tired. That’s your body and mind conquering new territory. Welcome. Now keep going.
