dailyMYB: STOP TRYING SO HARD.
We often set our sights on things we so desperately want to “be.” Be healthy, be in shape, be skinny, be cool, be successful, be in love, be happy… In order to reach such intangible goals, we tie ourselves into pretzel-like knots attempting to get there by BEING something we’re not. It’s no use. You won’t reach your goals that way. Because “being healthy” isn’t specific enough and “being happy” is a constant evolution. You’ve got to set your sights on SOMETHING, DO it and DO IT YOUR WAY. Stop trying so hard to BE something you’re not. Where you are is exactly where you’re supposed to be. And who you are is all you need to achieve your goals. You are enough. It’s everything you need. Your style, your swagger, your rhythm is exactly what it should be. Embrace it and flaunt it. Don’t try to fit it into someone else’s box. And if you set SPECIFIC GOALS (ie - reach a certain number of running miles, run a race, do to a specific workout class 3 days a week, enter a triathlon, flirt with yoga inversions, etc), take ACTION and begin to take the steps necessary to work towards those specific goals, you’ll get right where you want to be.
