MOTIVATION: the little black…yoga pant.
Sometimes the one thing standing between you and that workout class is the perfect pair of workout pants. Now I’m not saying that in order to workout successfully you need any necessary accessory. Frankly, you can go to yoga in your undies if you so please. However, there are such things as “incentives” that twist our brain into getting EXCITED about said workout class. And fashion is one of those things.
Do this mean you need to buy every ON-TREND neon color tank of the moment from lulu, sweaty betty, nike and adidas all in the same week? No.
However, investing in a stellar pair of black (or crazy awesome printed!) workout pants can make it easier to throw your workout stuff in a bag and go to your class or gym confident that you’ll rock whatever is thrown your way. Do you need 10 pairs? No. You need one.

Forget everything you think you know about fitness. Forget the way you think it should look, how it should go, where it should be, what it should consist of. Forget any cover of any “fitness” magazine you’ve ever seen. Forget all that. Embrace what YOU WANT. SWEAT the way you WANNA. Don’t let anything stop you from digging into your fitness space 100% the way you want to. This isn’t your job, your schooling — this is YOUR recess, your play time, your sweat time, your head time, your soul work time. So WORK it! Do the workout YOU wanna do. Do something crazy! Do something different from everyone else. Do something old school. Rock the style you wanna rock, rock the music you wanna listen to, run your own route, go to the class you wanna hit up, do the activity that gets you pumped up — forget everything else! Stray from the pack. Wonder into something unknown. Bust through self-imagined barriers. Step outside what you THINK you can do—go even further.
Don’t let anything or anyone define your fitness for you. Sweat from your heart. Sweat from your soul. SWEAT IT YOUR WAY.

Depending on every kind of sport or workout, there’s always a specific kind of look people go for. Maybe you stick with that look. Maybe you rock a look all your own… you tell me!

MOTIVATION: workout rituals.
We’ve all got ‘em. High soccer socks on a run. Arm warmers and a tank trumps actual long sleeve shirt. Every race music mix begins with The Roots’s Seed 2.0. Never look up a hill, only down at your feet. Jog on the curbs, never stop. Tear off all the layers your run entailed and spread them on the floor just so you can see how they stack up.
We’ve all got those little habits, ticks, ceremonious repetitions we do every single time we hit the road or get our sweat on. Embrace them. Hold onto them tightly. These things make our SWEATsessions unique to us and into a repeatable habit.
Do things your own way. You’re not one to follow the pack anyway, right?
SWEATstyle: spring workout style!
Everyone has their own SWEATstyle and workout fashion. I tend to buy dark colored basics like tights and tops and then rock neon colored flare in my socks, sports bras or shoes.

SWEATstyle: what piece of gear motivates you??
For me in winter, it’s gotta be my lululemon puffer running coat. I’m a wuss as a southerner up in New York so knowing I have my super warm and comfy running coat (with lost of awesome pockets), I’m confident I can happily run in all kinds of weather.
