You miss the days of team sports, right? You loved gameday but what you really miss is the glory of PRACTICE! That group effort you put forth running drills, honing your skills and keeping in tip top shape through the sport you loved. You’d much rather hit the field to get your sweat on than going to the boring gym. Well NOW YOU CAN.
Introducing MYB TRAINING CAMP: football edition. We’re running “football practice” that’s a throwback to your high school sports days and a hardcore workout in disguise.
**You don’t have to be a former football star to partake in the action, either! But a love of football helps. Chicks and dudes are all welcome!!**
MYB training camp will take place on Tuesday, November 29th THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1st at 7:15pm in Brooklyn’s McCarren Park. And it’s totally FREE! Details below from Mike V:!!
Hey all,
We can come off of Thanksgiving and work off some of that extra stuffing!
Tuesday 11/29 7:15pm at the McCarren Park football field (the one with the lights and running track).
That field is always in use so we probably won’t get on the main part but there are smaller areas behind the goal posts that will serve our purpose just fine.
To those of you that are curious, here’s how the class will work.
10 minute stretch
20 minutes plyometrics
20 minutes agility drills (cones, karaokes, explosions, backpedals)
10 minutes instructions
30-40 minutes position drills (catching, running, pass coverage)
10 minutes hard conditioning
10 minutes cool down
I’ve budgeted these times a bit on the high side, so we’ll probably run shorter than anticipated. These times are intended for a full team workout as opposed to 7 people.
Of course no one is obliged to stay the whole time but to get the full workout, it’d be best. Can’t wait!
