In school, recess was freedom. You sat in class all day and for one glorious period you could bust out of the classroom with your buddies, spread your arms and fly. So why has adult recess turned into a chore of a boring workout all by your lonesome?
Not anymore! Transform the way you think about your workout. Any way you want to move, anyhow, anytime, anywhere — that’s your workout. Make your fitness time YOUR time. Do something you love. Do something that inspires you. Do it with people you love. Throw ANYTHING ELSE that doesn’t add up right out the window. Right now. You do enough things for enough people other than yourself that you don’t totally love all day long. Make your fitness work for no one else other than YOURSELF. This is YOUR time. Your energy. And YOUR results. You deserve to do something that you enjoy.
Make it fun. Make it inspiring. Make it sweaty.

EMBRACE THE AWESOME.
You know that feeling after a great workout? That “clear minds, clear hearts, can’t lose!” kinda anything-is-possible feeling? Yeah, you know it. Embrace it. Focus on it. Hunger for it. Because that feeling is waiting for you on the other side of any great workout. Go get it!! It’s guaranteed to wash away all of the following: shitty moods, frustrating life situations, feelings of I don’t care, crappy boys (or girls), upsetting relationships, sadness, unrest, upsetting news, grey days, lost feelings, stresssssssss, etc. I’m not saying it will fix everything. But it will clear your mind, lungs and body and set you up in a place to succeed and problem solve to find your best self. In short, it will help you SURVIVE. And that feeling is literally waiting on the other end of any workout any time of day or night. Even the shortest 20 minute sweat session can serve it up. So embrace that awesome that’s waiting for you and go chase it down. Because it’s not some magic phenomenon. It’s you and your body thanking you for what it needs most. The power to make yourself feel better lies within you. The awesome lies within you. Now go get it!

MOTIVATION: MYB Chicago style!

Loving my weekend in Chicago for Pitchfork Music Festival! Tons of bikers and runners getting their MYB on. Took a break from the festival fun to hit up Exhale Chicago for a Core Fusion class. Kicked my booty! After a 90 degree 3 mile run there, I was sweating like crazy! Hotness. But the class was killer with great new moves I’ve never done in NY. Thanks Chicago! High-res
